Yeah, just another day and we will be there! Uhuuuu…
Tonight is our last night here in Noosa, Australia, and it couldn’t be better “good bye party” then a bbq with a Brazilian game!
And tomorrow we will be in South Africa! Can not believe the time went so quickly!
Hey everyone! Here is Bruna and Felipe, a Brazilian couple that have been living in Australia for a few years now.
After travelling around Australia and New Zealand with the Wicked Van, we decided that this would be the best way to enjoy the World Cup in South Africa! So here we go!! Tonight is our last night here in Noosa, Australia.. as for a good bye party we’re watching Brazil game with some friends. Just trying to fell a little bit of what we are gonna fell next week on the stadium, watching Brasil x Portugal!! Uhuu..
Just one more day and we will be there!!
See ya!!!
Hello Everyone!!!
Finally we left Australia, this afternoon we flew from Brisbane to Singapore, thats where we are stuck now, really excited to get in South Africa soon to start the real holidays…..
Unfortunatly o have to wait a few hours here, but tomorrow morning, the party starts!!!!
It’s gona be wicked!!!
Hey everyone!
It is very hard to say everything we are living in here… there so much to do that there is no time left to go to internet!
But let’s try to say a little bit of our first week in South Africa!
We stayed only two days in Johan and it was all right.. not the best place to be, but it was good! We didnt see much of the city so we are planning to go back there to visit the cbd and Soweto, that seens be pretty cool!
We got our wecked van and came directly to Durban. Here is great!! It is been a very good time! The game Brasil x Portugal was awesome! Actually the game itself wasnt that good, but the feeling to be there was great! Party on the street… very nice!
We have also visit a national park near here, it is not that famous so we were not expacting much, much we still could see lots of animals!! It was much better then we imagine!!
There is a lot to tell, much things going on… but we are in a rush! The game Brasil x Chile is just about to start!!!!
Well…
Brasil was Defeated by Holland… wasn’t a good day for us… so not much to tell about it!!
The good thing is that we are not here just for the World Cup! So there is still a lot to do!!! No crying….
On the way to Port Elizabeth we went to the Addo Elephant National Park… what a great place! It was very nice! Unfortunatally we didnt have the chance to see lions and leopards, but it was good to see the elephants and so many other animals! They get so close to the car… it is very nice!!!
PE is a very nice place as well.. great city. We’re staying here until tomorrow, when we go to Cape Town!!
When we decided to rent the van we we’re not sure what we were expecting. We had the experience in NZ and OZ and it was great, but we’re not sure if it would be the same here in South Africa, as we didnt know if it would be as safe and if they would have the same structure. Well, after those 2 weeks on the road we can say that YES, it is been great! Not even one little problem! The roads are good, there are many many caravan parks and camping sites, even in Durban we just park the car on the street, there were enough police there for us to fell safe and toilets everywhere! Even with hot shower, believe me or not!!! The caravan parks here are also very good and not so expensive. Just as great as OZ and NZ!! Talking about NZ, some places here remind us there. We are on the Garden Route now, and all those montains and lakes, remind us our trip to NZ. And of course, when on the coast we remember our time in Australia! When we get to Mossel Bay we are gonna try to do the whale, dolphins and seal watching! We did whale watching in Harvey Bay, OZ and it was amazing!! Hope we can see them here as well!!
Hey everyone! How is everyone going!? We’re great! Still having a beutiful time here! From PE we got our way down to Cape Town, but as it is the best region of the country we are still half way! There is so much to do! We went to Jefreys Bay, we were pretty excited to see the waves but unfortunatelly it wasn’t a good day for surfing, so we dicided to keep going. The Garden Route is really prety! Lovely place! Yeastarday we went to a Cheeta Park in Oudtshoorn, a lovely town just north of George. We had the chance to tuch and take pictures with the beautiful white tiger and play with baby cheetas! Amazing experience! Today the plan was to get the train in George to Mossel Bay, the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe, that we saw on the Lonely Planet book as one of the 10 best train trips ever! But unfortunatelly we are not able to do it, as the time is short! According to our plan we should be in Cape Town already, but there were so much to do that we’re still half way! We are gonna get to Mossel Bay today, where we can see the great white shark! I can not do it for medical reasons, but Felipe is very excited, thinking to do it! Let’s see!
How is it going everyone!?
We are finally arriving in Cape Town! Now we are at the Cape of Good Hope National Park, just south of the city.
As we saw on the book that here was one of the best road trips in the world we dicided to have one day to do it, it is from Hermanus to Cape Town. The way is not long, 150 Km, but because it is really amazing, it takes quite a while, so we did take almost the whole day to do it.
Today the plan was to enter to the Cape of Good Hope, it seens there is a lot to do there and it is a very nice place, lots of tracks, beachs… but for the first time on the trip we woke up with rain! Now we are not sure what to do, if try to get there anyway or go to the city, or just relax for the day….
But I think rain here is good, as it is a water scarce aera, there is signs everyore, so it is good for the people that lives here.
This is Felipe at the Cape of Good Hope. We’ve been there two days ago, it’s a very nice reserve, beatiful views and history!
We also went to the Table Montai.. and there is definitly the best view you can have from Cape Town! It is a must to do while in Cape Town! Unfurtunatally I couldnt download the pictures from there yet, to put on the blog, I don’t know why, but I will keep trying!! There is a lot of nice pics from there!
Oh, also we watched the final Spain x Holand… it was very nice! The streets were so busy, so many people partying… wicked!
It is been quite a long time since the last post, we have entered in Namibia and left the country already! But the good point of not writing is that we didn’t have time for that as there was a lot to do! We spent 10 days there… but if we had more time we would stay more, for sure! As we drove all the way from south to North we had to stay most of the time on the road, but it was all right.< The best parts of the trip were the Sussusvlei, the Red Dunes… beautiful! And of course the Etosha. We did self drive safari and it was great! We had the chance to see the cats this time! A cheetah eating, a lion almost hunting a kudu… awesome!
Yesterday we arrived in Botswana, at the moment we are in Maun deciding what to do… just another week until give back the car and flying to Kenya. For sure this week will go fast!
