Travelling the Wicked Highways from Cape Town (10 June 2010) to Johannesburg (13 July 2010)

I’ve never been to South Africa before and really looking forward to it. The games are going to be a priority but I do want to travel a bit and see what the big fuss is about South Africa.
I do understand that it will be a lot warmer than at home (Alaska) but that there is also a lot more to see; animals and historical places.
I would like to ask if anyone out there could help me out with where are the best places to go and how I could sort out a schedule.

hi lucy, you will be amazed how wonderfull South Africa is! Will you be traveling alone or with friends?
I could not believe how long i was looking for a place to stay during the world cup.
Accommodation is so expensive during this world cup; everybody is asking almost triple the price. Wicked Campers came to my rescue!! They will have a wicked campsite exclusive for wicked campers at a very low price, that i think is fantastic news for all the wicked travellers! I just went on the site at http://www.wickedafrica.com/wicked-campsite.html and booked my stay there.
Stayed at the Wicked Campsite and had such a blast with all the other Wicked campers around.
My first game that I saw was at Ellis Park (Brazil vs Korea DPR) and even though Brazil won 2:1, it was still disappointing to see that Korea got a goal against us. Good skills but a little disappointing to watch.
The second game was at Soccer City (what an awesome stadium) Brazil vs Cote d’Ivore. This was a better win for Brazil 3:1 as they kept the 2 goal lead. Fabiano showed some first class play but they need to start playing aggressive football as Germany, Argentina and Portugal (ESPECIALLY) are going to go through to round 2 and so need to put up their game.
Game 3 Brazil vs Portugal in Durban will be a tough one and I’ll be watching it on the big screen at the Fan Park in Johannesburg and then hopefully celebrating at the Wicked Campsite after Brazil’s victory.
